We have made a lot of progress in recent years on climate action, including announcements by utilities to retire HALF of Wisconsin’s coal fleet in the next few years. I have the character, competence and courage to lead. Competence is not what we say we’ll do, but what we’ve achieved. My track record of producing outcomes that were among the best in the country is long, public and measurable.Ĭandidates will tell you about all the great things they’ll do for you. I am coming out of retirement as a hospital administrator of nearly 30 years and a critical care clinical nurse specialist with 10 years clinical practice. The bureaucracy must be managed to support our citizens’ pursuit of the lives they want to live. The government can help us realize our dreams by staying out of our way.

Dependence and entitlement are destroying people. I don’t believe government is the answer to most questions. Government exists to protect our freedom. I will govern from basic principles that are critical to a free society: Career politicians have replaced citizen legislators. In April, I declared my candidacy as an independent for governor of Wisconsin.īoth parties have disqualified themselves from our support by chasing power and control and rarely producing outcomes that matter to us. The risks to our democracy have never been greater an I cannot sit on the sidelines. Our fundamental rights are under assault. Division and dependence are being used as political strategies to grow the government.
